It’s nearing the end of August and football is back baby! NFL is in pre-season, the college football season is about to kick off next weekend and I am so excited!! Football in Texas is a big deal, as pretty much everyone knows. I graduated 2 years ago and I still get just as excited to see my Aggies play each year. The excitement that lights up campus and the town is contagious. Tailgates, friends and family coming together to cheer on their favorite team and just the joy that surrounds football season is so uplifting. My favorite part of Aggie football weekends is getting to see old friends and my family, plus nothing beats the excitement that surrounds Aggie football games. As they say, theres a spirit can ‘near be told.
I have rounded up some of my favorite game day looks and am so excited to share some of them with you guys over the next few weeks. Each year as the season approaches, my eyes are looking out for maroon everywhere I go. Or even cute black or white pieces that can be paired with maroon jewelry. I’m really excited about this season, not only for the games, which is obvious, but for the outfits I can wear while cheering on my Aggies. To kick it off I wanted to share this super cute t-shirt from Riff Raff Boutique
Riff Raff has so many cute SEC shirts as well as game day wear. My favorite part of this shirt was that it is so versatile. You can pair it with your favorite cut offs and converse OR pair it with a skort and sandals.
We all know that the weather down south from August up until October is HOT! This t-shirt makes for the perfect game day wear because it is lightweight and sure to keep you cool. I styled it with a skort from Beehive, a cute boutique-style store here in Fort Worth (I believe they have storefronts in other cities as well) and flatform wedges from Cato. Which I have to mention, I got these sandals for $7.00. I had been on the lookout for some cute flatform sandals and when I came across these I couldn’t help but purchase them. I mean how could you not?! They were such a great deal!
Skorts are coming back into style and I am LOVING it. They are so easy to wear, comfortable and obviously cute. They can even make a t-shirt look more chic. I finished out my look with a maroon choker, just so everyone knows which team on the pinwheel I’ll be rooting for this season 😉
What are your favorite game day traditions? What are you looking forward to most this season? And what will you be wearing on Saturdays this fall?
Thanks and Gig Em!
