Fall Preview: Maroon Sweater + Distressed Jeans

During the fall I love soft, cozy sweaters. I look all over for those pieces that will make me feel cozy but have a little something to make them fun. And that is exactly what this sweater is doing. I absolutely love how soft this sweater is AND it is light weight for the fall in the south. If you’re from Texas (or anywhere down south for that matter) you know that the weather doesn’t start cooling off until November, making it hard to sport all the fall fashion in September or October. The cut out detail and how light weight this sweater is makes it perfect for early fall months.

It can be worn with some simple jewelry, a scarf or even layered when it does start cooling off. The length of it is perfect to wear with leggings or jeans like I did here. (**This sweater is sold out but they have the same one in cream here)

Which brings me to my next point- these jeans!! I seriously cannot tell you how much I love them. The distressing, the fit, the price. All of it is so perfect. I got these jeans during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for under $40. That is such a great price! The amount of distressing on them is perfect and I love the unfinished hem, which is so trendy right now. Lastly the fit. Ok so for us girls with a booty it can be hard to find jeans that fit well around our seat area. These jeans stretch a little so I sized down (I usually wear a 29 but I bought the 28). They fit around my waist, hips and butt so great and I don’t feel like anything is hanging out or looking enormous.

I styled this look with my Vince Camuto boots that I also got during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I cannot recommend these boots enough. The fit and structure of them is perfect. I will say that they are a little tight so if you are in between sizes, size up! I will definitely be sporting these boots throughout the fall. You can also pair this outfit with some cute slides or booties as well.
